It can buy a House But not a Home
It can buy a Bed
But not Sleep
It can buy a Clock
But not Time
It can buy you a Book
But not Knowledge
It can buy you a Position But not Respect
It can buy you Medicine
But not Health
It can buy you Blood But not Life
So you see, Money isn't everything. And it often causes pain and suffering.
I tell you all this because I am your Friend, and as your Friend I want to take away your pain and suffering... So send me all your money and I will suffer for you. A more true Friend you will never find:-)

Two inseparable friends, Sam and Jason, met with an accident on their way to Boston City. The following morning, Jason woke up blind and Sam was still unconscious. Dr. Berkeley was standing at his bedside looking at his health chart and medications with a thoughtful expression on his face. When he saw Sam awake, he beamed at him and asked." How are you feeling today Sam?" Sam tried to put up a brave face and smiled back saying, "absolutely wonderful Doctor. I am very grateful for all that you have done for me. "Dr Berkeley was moved at Sam's deed. All that he could say was, "You are a very brave man Sam and God will make it up to you in one way or another". While he was moving on to the next patient, Sam called back at him almost pleading, "promise me you won't tell Jason anything".
"You know I won't do that. Trust me." and walked away.
"Thank you " whispered Sam. He smiled and looked up in prayer " I hope I live up to your ideas...please give me the strength to be able to go through this..Amen"

Months later when Jason had recuperated considerably, he stopped hanging around with Sam. He felt discouraged and embarrassed to spend time with a disabled person like Sam.
Sam was lonely and disheartened ,since he didn't have any body else other than Jason to count on. Things went from bad to worse. And one day Sam died in despair. When Jason was called on his burial, he found a letter waiting for him. Dr Berkeley gave it to him with an expressionless face and said" This is for you Jason. Sam had asked me to give it to you when he was gone".

In the letter he had said: " Dear Jason, I have kept my promise in the end to lend you my eyes if anything had happened to them. Now there is nothing more that I can ask from God, than the fact ,that will see the world through my eyes. You will always be my best friend........Sam".
When he had finished reading Dr. Berkeley said " I had promised Sam to keep his sacrifice he made a secret from you. But now I wish I didn't stick it Because I don't think It was worthy it" .
All that was left for Jason while he stood there was tears of regret and memories of Sam for the rest of his life .

Lesson of the story: No matter what If we make a friend, we should stick by him till the end. Life is meaningless without a friend.

Where are we heading ??

The paradox of our time in history is that we have taller buildings, but shorter tempers; wider freeways, but narrower viewpoints; we spend more, but have less; we buy more but enjoy it less.

We have bigger houses and smaller families; more conveniences, but less time; we have more degrees, but less sense; more knowledge, but less judgement; more experts, but more problems; more medicine, but less wellness.

We drink too much, spend too recklessly, laugh too little, drive too fast, get too angry too quickly, stay up too late, get up too tired, read too little, watch TV too much, and pray too seldom.

We talk too much, love too seldom, and hate too often. We've learned how to make a living, but not a life; We've added years to life, not life to years.

We've been all the way to the moon and back, but have trouble crossing the street to meet the new neighbor. We've conquered outer space, but not inner space; We've done larger things, but not better things.

We've cleaned up the air, but polluted the soul; we've split the atom, but not our prejudice. We write more, but learn less; we plan more, but accomplish less.

We've learned to rush, but not to wait; we have higher incomes, but, lower morals.

We build more computers to hold more information to produce more copies than ever, but have less communication; We've become long on quantity, but short on quality.

These are the days of two incomes, but more divorce; of fancier houses, but broken homes.

These are the days of quick trips, disposable diapers, throw away morality, one night stands, overweight bodies, and pills that do everything from cheer, to quiet, to kill. Where are we heading ....?

If we die tomorrow, the company that we are working for could easily replace us in a matter of days. But the family we left behind will feel the loss for the rest of their lives.

And come to think of it, we pour ourselves more into work than to our family an unwise investment indeed.

So what is the morale of the story????

Don't work too hard... and you know what's the full word of family?

~Sand and Stone~

A story tells that two friends were walking through the desert. During some point of the journey they had an argument, and one friend slapped the other one in the face. The one who got slapped was hurt, but without saying anything, wrote in the sand: "TODAY MY BEST FRIEND SLAPPED ME IN THE FACE."
They kept on walking until they found an oasis, where they decided to take a bath. The one, who had been slapped, got stuck in the mire and started drowning, but the friend saved him. After the friend recovered from the near drowning, he wrote on a stone:
The friend who had slapped and saved his best friend asked him, "After I hurt you, you wrote in the sand and now, you write on a stone, why?"
The other friend replied: "When someone hurts us, we should write it down in sand where winds of forgiveness can erase it away. But, when someone does something good for us, we must engrave it in stone where no wind can ever erase it."

"A son and his father were walking on the mountains.Suddenly, his son falls, hurts himself and screams: "AAAhhhhhhhhhhh!!!"To his surprise, he hears the voice repeating, somewhere in the mountain: "AAAhhhhhhhhhhh!!!"Curious, he yells: "Who are you?"He receives the answer: "Who are you?"And then he screams to the mountain: "I admire you!"The voice answers: "I admire you!"Angered at the response, he screams: "Coward!"He receives the answer: "Coward!"He looks to his father and asks: "What's going on?"The father smiles and says: "My son, pay attention."Again the man screams: "You are a champion!"The voice answers: "You are a champion!"The boy is surprised, but does not understand. Then the father explains: "People call this ECHO, but really this is LIFE.It gives you back everything you say or do.Our life is simply a reflection of our actions. If you want more love in the world, create more love in your heart. If you want more competence in your team, improve your competence. This relationship applies to everything, in all aspects of life;Life will give you back everything you have given to it.

Once upon a time, there was an island where all the feelings lived: Happiness, Sadness, Knowledge, and all of the others, including Love. One day it was announced to the feelings that the island would sink, so all constructed boats and left. Except for Love.Love was the only one who stayed. Love wanted to hold out until the last possible moment. When the island had almost sunk, Love decided to ask for help.Richness was passing by Love in a grand boat. Love said, "Richness, can you take me with you?"Richness answered, "No, I can't. There is a lot of gold and silver in my boat. There is no place here for you."Love decided to ask Vanity who was also passing by in a beautiful vessel. "Vanity, please help me!""I can't help you, Love. You are all wet and might damage my boat," Vanity answered.Sadness was close by so Love asked, "Sadness, let me go with you.""Oh . . . Love, I am so sad that I need to be by myself!"Happiness passed by Love, too, but she was so happy that she did not even hear when Love called her. Suddenly, there was a voice, "Come, Love, I will take you." It was an elder. So blessed and overjoyed, Love even forgot to ask the elder where they were going. When they arrived at dry land, the elder went her own way. Realizing how much was owed the elder, Love asked Knowledge, another elder, "Who Helped me?""It was Time," Knowledge answered."Time?" asked Love. "But why did Time help me?"Knowledge smiled with deep wisdom and answered, "Because only Time is capable of understanding how valuable Love is."

A little girl named Emily looked around at the large trees that surround her as she walk along a long path within a large forest. A smile came to her lips as she watched a group of small birds fly off the branch above her and small lines of sunlight filtered through the leaves of the trees for a brief second as they passed through. Soon it was dark again, but she felt no fear as she knew she was close to home. She quickened her pace until something caught her eye and she stopped. There was something white sticking out of one of the many bushes that lined the path. Out of curiosity, Emily slowly starts to walk towards it and as she got closer, she saw something red next to it. As she slowly stepped forward and looked around the bush, the smile returns to her face when she sees a small doll lying against the long green grass. It had long red hair that went down to its waist and it wore a blue dress along with silver high-heel shoes. It was like a doll version of Emily herself and she immediately picked it up and brought it home with her. She snuck past her parents, because she knew they wouldn't approve of her bringing the doll home with her. As she entered her room, she placed the doll in her closet and left it in there. Night started to fall and that was when Emily heard a voice coming from within the closet. She sat up and was immediately frightened. 'Don't be frightened Emily' the voice said in a sweet voice, 'You're my friend, come here and play with me' Emily didn't move and the voice lost some of its calmness. 'Emily, don't make me come to you'. Emily slowly pulled her blanket down and took a deep sigh before climbing out of bed and walking towards the closet, opening the door slowly. The next morning, Emily's mother called her down for breakfast. But she didn't come down, and after five minutes, the mother started to get worried and she walked up the stairs. When she opened the door and looked inside, she didn't see Emily and that only increased her concern for her little girl. She looked all around the room, from under the bed to outside the window and then finally, the closet. She opened the door and let out a loud scream. The father came up the stairs quickly, only to be met with the same horrible sight that the mother had seen. Emily was hanging from the roof of the closet by a chain that was wrapped around her neck, dead. Her eyes had been plucked out, her stomach ripped open and her fingers and toes sewn together. Blood covered every part of the closet, some still dripping. The doll was the only thing not covered and it was lying there, looking innocent. Right next to it was a dagger and a sewing needle and also a note that said 'Come play with me' The door behind the parents shut close and the doll lifted it's head... a smile on it's face.

There once was a guy who had a lot of work. We had so much work that he never had time to hang out and relax. Then one of his friends asked him to go to his party. “I’ll think about it,” he said. Days had passed and he thought he should have a day off, so he decided to go to the party. On the day of the party, while he was on his way, he saw this beautiful young lady who happened to be going the same way he was. He stopped and asked her if she wanted a ride. They were staring at each other for a while and finally she replied,” I would love to.” So they went to the party and had a good time. They sat down and the girl was getting cold, so he offered his sweater to keep her warm. Later that night, the guy wanted to go home because he needed to rest for work tomorrow. The young lady went with him. A few minutes later they were by a dark street filled with dead trees. The lady said, ”You can drop me off here because I live by the house over there.” A while later, he was home and he was thinking of the beautiful lady he had met. Then he remembered his sweater that he had lent to her. He went back to the lady’s house to ask for his sweater. The lady’s father answered the door, and he was dressed in black. The father asked what the guy wanted and the guy replied with,” I lent your daughter my sweater. May I have it back?” The father was silent after hearing the question, then a while later he said to go with him in the back yard. The guy followed him to the back and was surprised because he saw a coffin. “Who died,” he asked and the father sadly replied. The guy was surprised about the answer. He got closer and saw a picture of the very same lady he had gone with to his friend’s party. And guess what else he found on her? That’s right, his sweater!

Better tO be a bOy or a girl??

it is better to be a boy than a girl?in my opinion, both have their advantages and disadvantages.

a boy enjoy more freedom than a girl.that is the first advantage of being a boy. a boy can do a lot of things and go ti many places without being asked all sorts of questions. on the other hand, a girl is usually interrogated for every action of hers. the reason is a girl is very weak and easy to hurt physically or emotionally while a boy is not. however, being a boy has its disadvantages too. the first is being the so-called stronger sex, taking care of the family will fall squarely on his shoulder when he grows up. so, although it is perfectly all right for a girl to stay at home and not work, a boy is expected to work and support the family.if he does no fulfil thid duty, he will earn the contempt of the community.

being a girl has its advantages too. since a girl is considered the weaker sex, she is exempted from doing many things. she does not not have to go out to work to support the family.a girl is also treated with gentleness.the disadvantages of being a girl is not given much prestige.she does not have much say in the decision-making process of the family.normally she has to accept what the male members decide for her.another disadvantages of being a girl is that she has to bear children while a boy does not. carrying a child to full term is very troublesome and giving birth can be very painful.

after considering the pros and cons of both being a boy and being a girl, i can conclude that both have their own advantage ang disadvantages..
